How it works

Low/ Medium frequency is as interrupted AC current. (From 1000Hz up to 10000hZ). This current mechanically stimulates the muscle of the body. MF current effectively causes the muscle to contract when stimulated by the current, Medium frequency current is the current (or current desity) that is flowing through an electrochemical cell and is causing (or is caused by) chemical reactions (charge transfer) occurring at the electrode surfaces. Contrast with capacitive current.
